My present work is about creating evocative images exploring place trace and memory and revealing a new surreal beauty from abandoned, hidden, stored and discarded memorobilia.
I use video and photography and layer history through a process of cutting and reassembling my own images with other found images. My recent work alludes to a community that once resided in a magnificent North Wales building which is now derelict. This work is an attempt to unlock the "genius loci" (spirit of place) of this amazing institution.
I also love to paint landscape and abstract but am not tied to a particular style or process but rather follow my instincts and inspiration to produce a variety of work. I usually finish up with a series of works.
